I've always loved photography. When I was a kid, I always made sure I had a camera with me. Whether it was going to the racetrack with my Dad, fishing with my cousin, or hanging out at a family barbeque, I was always taking pictures. After college I picked up a used Olympus OM-10 and started reading as much as I could, and of course, shooting.

It didn't take long to want to graduate to AF cameras and lenses, so the Canon EOS Rebel was my next step. After a while, and tons of film, I started to want more. I picked up an Elan IIe, then shortly after, a Canon EOS 3. That was it. I loved to shoot sports, and now I had the camera to do it. lenses were added as the money came in, and before I knew it, I was shooting my first Yankee game from the photo pit at Yankee Stadium.

Since then, I have covered the NY Mets, NHRA Drag Racing, ATP Tennis, the NY Giants, the Long Island Ducks, Land Rover off road clinics, Formula BMW racing, and numerous High School and prep sports.

Freelance clients include Newsday and NY Sports Scene Magazine and I am one the main photographers for LiSPN, Long Island's premier Sports Photographers.

Aside from shooting sports, I absolutely love shooting wildlife. Either underwater or top-side, I enjoy being outside and seeing some of nature's greatest creations through the lens. I have been lucky enough to see Black Bears in Minnesota, Sharks in the Bahamas, Alligators in Florida, Osprey on Long Island, and my favorite, the Manatees of Crystal River.

I have been all Digital for the past 4 years and will NEVER go back to shooting film again. I can't; I don't have a film camera anymore!

There are a few people I need to thank though:

My wonderful wife Kim. She deals not only with me, but with the "extras" that go along with being a photographer. Late games, long hours, travel, and the fear of me either getting eaten by bears or sharks, or getting killed by a foul ball or a 350 lb. football player.

My son Danny. Probably 90% of the photos I shoot he sees. And he loves them all! At least that what he tells me. He enjoys taking pictures also, and I can't wait to get him out in the field with me.

My little angel Stephanie. There is nothing like coming home to the sweet smile of a precious little baby. I look forward to her laugh every day.

My Parents. They listen to all my stories, and still worry about me whenever I tell them about my next endeavor.

My brother Mike. He always sets me straight, telling me how it is without holding back. I appreciate his friendship and his honesty.

Everyone else knows who they are. I thank and love you all.

Anyway, I appreciate you stopping by and taking the time to learn a little something about me. Hopefully, there will be plenty more to tell after 2007, so please check back often.

-Dan
